SSMPC Members selected for GB Team

Congratulations to four SSMPC members who have been selected to represent GB at this summers European and World Youth Championships.
World YA Championships: Kate Fowlie, 17
European YA Championships: Jo Muir 17, Eilidh Prise 15. (Eilidh has a prior commitment to the Scottish Tetrathlon team so is unable to compete at YA Europeans)
European YB Championships: Michael Craig 15

Youth Selection Competitions

Congratulations to SSMPC members who competed at the second youth selection competition at Bath on 4/5 June. Callum Fletcher and Christopher Leichti finished 4th and 5th on the YB boys rankings. Michael Craig had a very fast 5 out of 5 shots on his last shoot to finish 3rd in YB boys in the 2nd selection event. In the girls, Kate Fowlie finished 3rd on the rankings with Jo Muir 5th in the YA girls. Well done to all.

SSMPC Masters men compete in Triathlon

Congratulations to Roddie McLeod, Jamie Watson and Gavin Prise who competed in the GE Strathclyde Park triathlon on Sunday 22nd May. All three were competing in their first open water event. Roddie was entered in the Novice race with the other two in the Sprint event. Their worry that they may hold up the whole event with a slow swim was soon dispelled as Gavin came out of the water 3rd in his group, with Jamie and Roddie in the middle of the field. Youth D's who competed at the Youth Pentathlon Championships in Solihull on 22/23 June. Steph Craig, Poppy Drysdale and Corry Hay took the YDG team award for SSMPC. Also in the picture is YDB Ryan Gauld and Stevie Mason who was team coach for the event.
